A common misconception about manufactured homes is that they will only depreciate in value and are not a good investment. We're going to go over a few points and evidence that proves quite the opposite. Mary Gaiski, the Executive Vice President of the Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association says it best, "Even though many people including those selling the manufactured homes will say yes, we say no. The value of a pre-owned manufactured home is determined by its market location, the age and maintenance of the home and the condition of its surrounding neighborhood or community. To put it in real estate terms- location, location, location. We have pre-HUD homes that are in good repair, located in desirable locations, selling for way more than they were bought new."

Tiny homes have been gaining popularity lately, and I can definitely see why. The simplicity of a small space gives a "no muss no fuss" feel. Park Models, which are Titan's version of tiny homes, are built with all the necessities of a home are an incredibly versatile solution to many housing dilemmas. Park models are built with less than 399 square feet of living space, not including the optional lofts or porches. 

With more and more people seeing the benefits of park models, the movement has taken over the United States recently, proving it is more than just a trend. Because these homes are actually classified as a recreational vehicle (RV) the homeowner has a lot of freedom as far as where they can place the home, mobility and financing.

Refresh Your Furniture: How to Paint Old Furniture to Make it Look New!

Any time I go shopping for home furnishings I am reminded that I have champagne taste and a beer (if that) budget. So I decided to finally put my Pinterest to use, and while it wasn't exactly the same as the pictures, it also was not as bad as the "fails of Pinterest". I figured go big or go home, so I painted a pretty large, wooden dresser. If you're looking for a semi simple, cheap way to update the look of a room in your home then slapping a fresh coat of paint on the furniture definitely helps!
